As Chairman of the Weber-Morgan Board of Health, Logan Wilde was recently asked about his views concerning a proposed diesel emissions testing initiative:
LOGAN WILDE, CHAIR: AGAINST
Background: Member of the Morgan County Council, sheep and cattle rancher

Wilde emphasized he’s concerned about air quality in the region, but said he’s not convinced diesel emissions testing is the solution.

“I feel like it needs to be something that will actually solve air quality and not be a PR ... bandage for air quality,” he said.

Wilde supports other air quality improvement measures, like Tier 3 fuels that are lower in sulfur and allow newer vehicles’ emissions control systems to work better.

“I just struggle with more regulation,” he said. “To me, (diesel emissions testing) is just saying we’re doing something and not really solving the problem.”
Remember to vote for Logan Wilde for Utah House District 53 this coming Tuesday, June 28th!
