Logan Wilde has finally secured the GOP nomination for the Utah House District 53 seat, months after the June 28th Primary!

This "Wilde ride" saw a surprising convention upset forcing 24-year incumbent Rep. Mel Brown into a primary election. After two months of intensive campaigning, Logan successfully pulled a razor thin victory on election night, only to see his lead wobble precariously through the interim updates and finally settle at eight points ahead in the official state canvass of election results. Since the vote difference was so small, however, Brown exercised his right to a recount, gaining one more vote and Logan gaining two more votes.

Still, controversy surrounding dozens of  legally disqualified ballots led Brown to file a lawsuit asking for a court order to open these ballots. A couple of weeks later, he decided to withdraw his request. Now Logan can confidently move forward as the Republican Party nominee for Representative of House District 53!
