In a KCPW radio interview with Representative Mel Brown earlier this month, Leslie Thatcher remarked, “Word on the street is that Mr. Wilde was backed by those who support charter schools. Should we be concerned that even more funding gets pulled from our traditional schools?”
Representative Brown responded, “Oh, I think that’s true. I don’t know this directly, it’s strictly a supposition on my part. But I think he was supported by that group, at least there’s some indication." This allegation is untrue and misleading. Logan Wilde has not received any such money or support, as shown in his financial statements available here, and here. When it comes to education funding, local control is Logan's main priority.
